  We spent a lovely afternoon in Southport today and came across this restaurant. It's a great location, right on the water, so we went in for lunch on the patio. The hostess took us to our table, provided menus and said our server would be right with us. The menu looked great, but we'll never know how the food tasted because we were totally ignored. We waited for quite a while and no one ever came to our table. It was an off time, after the lunch crowd and there were only a few people there. It was really odd. We finally just got up and left. We walked next door to the Fishy Cafe and had great food and great service. The Yacht Basin needs to get their service in line with their prices or they won't be in business long.
